Welcome to Prioritize Calm
Where we prioritize Calm Over Chaos in all of the moments of the day.
I started Prioritize Calm because I was exhausted by it all — the constant feeling that everything is a crisis, both in everyday life and in the world around us. The endless to-do lists, the pressure to optimize every minute, the noise of notifications and the constant urge to scroll — there is a reason they call it doom-scrolling!
I recognized that some of that chaos, I was bringing about myself because of how I reacted to things and how I let everything around me, affect me. I decided that I wanted a little more space to breathe; I wanted to enjoy the moments; and I needed to stop reacting to everything. That doesn’t mean that I’m checking out on my family or on life in general. It just means that if there is a way or a time to insert some calmness, I want to find it. Since I am very much at home in front of a computer, I needed to find a way to make that time less chaotic (think: doom-scrolling!) and maybe even learn some new skills along the way. So, I started this site.
That’s the heart of it.
Here, you won’t find perfect “intentional living” advice that requires a total life overhaul. And, I don’t practice ‘self-care’ — whatever the heck that is! What I will include are practical, realistic ideas that fit into real, busy lives of real people. Things that I enjoy, or hope to enjoy, as I deliberately (and intentionally) slow down a bit and practice healthier habits:
- Simple ways to unplug for a few minutes
- Gardening and outdoor refresh projects (from small balconies to front yards)
- Simple recipes and nourishing food that doesn’t take all day
- Natural, DIY recipes for everything from spice-blends to hand lotion to bug spray
- Tips and recipes to minimize toxins and chemical exposure
- Home and lifestyle ideas that make daily life feel a little slower, and calmer
- Gentle ways to step away from the chaos — even if it’s just for a few quiet minutes
Some posts lean into creating peaceful moments. Some aim for better health. Others are simply useful and/or enjoyable — because sometimes the best way to cut through the noise is to do something satisfying with your hands instead of scrolling or stressing.
The goal is the same across all of it: Calm Over Chaos. Not by chasing perfection, but by choosing small, doable things that help you feel more grounded and present in your real life.
You’ll also find a Free Reflection & Intention Workbook — a simple tool to help you pause and decide what actually matters to you right now.
If you’re tired of the constant urgency, let’s embrace Calm Over Chaos. I’m glad you’re here.
Thank you for visiting PrioritizeCalm.com. I hope you find something useful and enjoyable in these pages.
This site is created by a real person. There is some use of AI, mostly to format posts and optimize all of the web stuff that I’m slowly learning about. I care about what is here—If I use AI to generate text, every word is personally reviewed and edited.
This site is for entertainment purposes. Nothing contained in these pages should be considered professional advice—I am an amateur at virtually everything! But, I am learning as I go.
Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
